Prayer 2021 - November 3 - How To Pray According to God's Word pt 2

Scripture For Today:

Jonah 2:7

“When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple.”

How to Pray According to God’s Will pt 2

We’ve been studying how “God’s Word IS God’s Will” these last several days. Yesterday, we started to look at “How you can pray according to God’s Will.”  Although, on the surface, it looks like the same exact topic – “God’s Word IS God’s Will,” there are some unique points that I would like to make that will help to clarify and solidify this in your minds.

While it is true that the believer will not find the answer to every specific problem you may encounter in life in the Bible, the answers you are seeking are still in there.

The Bible promises us the Spirit of Truth (who dwells with in us) will guide us into ALL the Truth (that’s in John 16:13). A believer who is walking in fellowship with the Father, obeying the Father’s instructions (the Word), that believer can rest assured that the Holy Spirit will lead and guide him or her in all the affairs of this life. Period. Amen!

This also means that, a believer, walking in fellowship with the Lord – through His Word – will not ask for anything outside of His Word, which is the Will of God. If a believer is NOT walking in fellowship with the Lord through His Word, he is NOT going to have a successful prayer life and he is NOT going to receive the answers to His prayers in any meaningful way. Amen!

John wrote the Gospel of John and the Epistles or Letters of John. In 1 John 5:14, John wrote for OUR benefit, “And this is the confidence (boldness) that we have in Him (God), that if we ask ANYTHING according to His Will, He hears us…” That’s shouting ground right there. Amen!

Then, in John’s Gospel, quoting Jesus, John wrote, “If you abide in me and my WORDS abide in you, you shall ask what YOU WILL, and IT shall be done unto you.”  That was from John 15:7.

John is just telling us “If we ask God for anything we find in His Word – He hears us. And if we are asking according to His Will, it MUST BE HIS WILL for us to have it!”  AMEN!  That’s shoutin’ ground right there!

Can you shout Amen at that revelation?  Some of you just got that point right there! Amen!  Your eyes have been opened to the Truth – for many of you, it is for the very first time! Amen! Praise God!

But, John is sharing a hidden secret here, one that most Christians either do not know about (usually because they are sitting in churches that refuse to teach it) – or they just refuse to believe God’s Word means what is says.

John 15:7 says YOU will have WHATSOEVER THINGS YOU desire… under what circumstances?

IF YOU abide in Jesus and in His Word – and allow His Word to what? Abide in you!

When God’s Word abides in you, THEN you know God’s Will.  Remember what studied last week, “God’s Word IS God’s Will.”  His Word IS His Will, and when you ask according to what you find written in the Bible about your situation – and pray for the answer based on those scriptures – you never – NEVER have to pray, “If it be they will,” and watch your prayer request swirl around go down the proverbial drain… Amen!

Pastor Robert Thibodeau has been in online ministry since starting his own podcast in mid-2009. Within about six months, he was offered a slot on nationwide Christian AM radio. His broadcast was heard in four major markets for one year.

He then started what today is called, "Evangelism Radio" and went live 24/7 beginning on October 4, 2010 and continues to this day. Now with over 50 broadcasters submitting programming on a weekly basis, Evangelism Radio has listeners in over 160 nations and all 50 states. It was also ranked by Shoutcast.com as #1 in the world in the Christian Talk genre on many occasions.

In late 2017, Pastor Bob began an interview style podcast called "The Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast." On this podcast, Pastor Bob interviews Christians from various walks of life on how they use their Faith to achieve success. Authors, recording artists, business CEO's, non-profit leaders and pastors and ministers frequent the show and provide amazing insight to build your faith. In only 3 years time, The KCR Podcast has published almost 900 episodes and Pastor Bob conducted over 700 interviews!

In early 2018, in response to the lack of any Christian themed podcast hosting platform in the market place, Pastor Bob coordinated with the iconic Mark Asquith and his team, with the result being "FaithCasters.net." A "Christian podcast hosting and marketing company created by Christians for Christians."

Due to the immense success Pastor Bob has achieved in the online ministry world, he is often asked by others "How to start a podcast." Not wanting to refer Christian brothers and sisters back into the world for help in establishing a Christian themed podcast, he started to develop the "Podcast-Training" platform offered through our ministry. He conducts training on a weekly basis to assist others in the development of their own personal podcast as well as ministry related podcasts that can air on Evangelism Radio.

Now, he has placed all of this information under one website location, "Podcasters for Christ." This makes it easier for other Christians to find the services they need in one spot rather than having to visit several different websites.
